How do I get started?
 
All new clients will begin with a complimentary 15-minute consultation or Fast Track proposal .  This will help us better understand your career needs and make sure our services, timelines, and service delivery will be the best fit for your career needs. We have two options to help you get started.  You can select your option here by clicking this link.

How are my formal proposal and quote created?
 
All résumé packages are customized based on the services requested, career level, and a professional analysis of your existing résumé and/or work experience. Our consultant prefers to learn more about your situation and your career needs before a final proposal is generated.

How much will this cost me?

A job search is an investment of your time and money. There are many free resources available for job seekers, but it takes knowledge and expertise in the career services field to leverage those resources effectively. Working with a subject matter expert will decrease the time you spend on the administrative part of the job search (resume development, creating a cover letter, social media branding, etc.) while getting little to no interviews and job leads. If you want to accelerate your job search and get connected to recruiters, hiring managers, and companies quicker, partnering with us will help prepare you for your job search more effectively.

​What can I expect from your services?

We offer professional résumé writing, branding, and career coaching services for three career levels:  Recent Grad/Entry Level, Professional Level, and Executive/C-Suite/Attorney/Physician.

Résumé Writing Services

All Professional Résumé Writing packages include a coaching session to review your résumé and/or cover letter drafts and discuss career development strategy.

Résumé and cover letter first drafts have a turnaround time of 7-10 business days. Weekends and holidays are not included as business days. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 9am CT – 5pm CT.

After the initial coaching session, subsequent drafts will be returned for review within 2-3 business days. Once final comments are implemented, the final drafts will be returned within 1-2 business days in Word and PDF.

Subsequent drafts or revisions requested after the final drafts are sent will be billed at $60 - $75/hour based on career level.

Career Coaching

We offer Career Coaching either as a standalone service or as part of our standard Resume Writing and Assessment packages. Coaching includes, but is not limited to the following areas: work search strategy, networking, salary negotiation, interview preparation/mock interviews, career development, social media branding/LinkedIn profile building, and leadership development.

Standalone career coaching sessions are billed per hour based on career level and virtual versus in-person sessions.

Virtual sessions are completed over the telephone, Zoom, WebEx, Join.Me or Skype. In-person sessions are for clients in the greater Houston area only and completed in a designated office or meeting space specified by the Consultant due to location and availability. 

How are Professional Services billed?

Full payment is due upon execution of the contract and before services are rendered. Any additional services added on after services have started will be billed separately and the remaining balance shall be paid upon receipt of the invoice. 

If the Consultant is unable to initiate services for any reason, payments will be refunded in full. Unfortunately, life events happen and we appreciate your understanding should an emergency arise that does not allow us to initiate your services.

Ad Hoc résumé writing (bios, additional résumé versions or formats, etc.), Career Coaching, Interview Preparation, Job Offer Negotiation Consultations and Professional Branding sessions are billed hourly based on level of career and virtual versus in person sessions. This includes time to conduct background research, review information, and prepare for coaching sessions. Any additional services requested must be paid in full before services will be initiated.
 

What if I need to cancel an appointment?

We respect your time and ask that you respect ours, as much time and effort is put into preparing for your sessions.   

Canceling Virtual or Phone Sessions:

If the Client must cancel or reschedule a virtual or phone coaching session for any reason, the Consultant must be notified via email, phone, or text at least 15 minutes BEFORE the scheduled meeting time.  You will need to purchase a session credit to book a new meeting.
A one-time grace cancellation will be granted to all clients. 

Canceling In-Person Sessions:

If the Client must cancel or reschedule an in-person coaching session for any reason, the Consultant must be notified via email, phone, or text at least 1.5 hours BEFORE the scheduled meeting time to allow sufficient time to cancel the booked office space. All sessions canceled or rescheduled after that time will not be credited back. You will need to purchase a session credit to book a new meeting. 

Client Engagement:


Client engagement is critical for this process to be successful and should be viewed as a professional courtesy.  

If the Client misses multiple sessions or does not engage with the Consultant during the process to set up coaching sessions or provide requested documents, three (3) attempts will be made to continue services via email and/or phone. If the Consultant is not able to make contact with the Client after three attempts or the Client is unresponsive to requests for feedback, all services will be put on hold. After 14 business days of no engagement from the Client, the Consultant will finalize all current drafts, send the Word versions to the Client, and close out the Client profile.

Re-engaging Services: 

The Client is welcome to re-engage services when ready for a fee of $50 payable before services will be initiated. 

Putting an Account on Hold:

If a Client must put their services on hold for any reason, the Consultant must be notified via email, text, or phone.
A confirmation to put services on hold will then be emailed to the Client.

Clients that provide advance notice of putting services on hold will not be charged a fee to re-start services at a later date.
 
What is your Refund Policy?
 
The Client agrees that much time and preparation is put into each Client's professional services.

Résumé Writing and all Assessment Services 

The Client agrees that much time and preparation is put into each Client's professional services. If the Client wishes to cancel services for any reason BEFORE services are scheduled or initiated, the Client is entitled to a full refund of payments rendered, minus a 3% administrative fee to cover the costs of setting up the Client profile. If the Client wishes to discontinue working with the Consultant after services have been scheduled or initiated, and no drafts have been sent to the Client for review, the Client is entitled to a 50% refund of payments rendered, minus a 3% administrative fee to cover the costs of setting up the Client profile and to compensate for work completed. Once drafts are sent to the Client for review, all payments are non-refundable, as the Client now has full rights to use and edit the drafted materials. The Consultant will make every effort to complete the Client's services to full satisfaction. If the Consultant is unable to initiate services for any reason, the payment amount will be refunded in full.

Career Coaching
If the Client wishes to discontinue working with the Consultant after services have been initiated, and no coaching sessions have been scheduled, the Client will receive a full refund minus a 3% administrative fee to cover the costs of setting up the Client profile and to compensate for preparation completed. If the coaching session has already been scheduled, the Client is entitled to a 50% refund minus a 3% administrative fee to cover the costs of setting up the Client profile and to compensate for preparation completed. Missed appointments are not entitled to a refund.
